‘Let them eat cake’

Teenagers from the Zion Baptist Church Z Club youth group will be holding a Bake’n’Brew event this coming Saturday (15th) to raise money for the Ebola crisis appeal. It takes place in the church hall, Union Street, Trowbridge, between 10am and midday.

Everyone is welcome to attend; and cash donations in return for tea, coffee and cake are invited – they’ll all go to the crisis appeal being run by the faith-based international development charity Us (United Society, formerly known as USPG).

Z Club leader Heather Skull said ‘The group came up with the idea of a fundraising cafe themselves and even chose which cause they wanted to raise money for. They’re going to be running the café themselves with a few extra helpers from the church community. I’m always proud of these young people and what they do. This just goes to show that teenagers and young adults really do care about things going on around them.’
