Zion to host Historical Society
As part of its 200 anniversary year, Zion Baptist Church is hosting the Strict Baptist Historical Society this coming Saturday (28th). It is being billed as the Trowbridge History Open Day and begins at 12noon with tours and an opportunity to look at a historical exhibition.
From 12.30pm it’s lunchtime – soup and hot drinks are provided but please bring your own sandwiches. At three o’clock there’s a Service of Thanksgiving – including a short talk about Zion’s first 200 years. That will be followed by what’s being referred to as a traditional chapel tea; based on the archives of events past.
The event is free to attend but there will be an opportunity to donate towards the work of the SBHS and the Trussell Trust.
The SBHS provides resources and archive material about the history of Strict Baptists.
More information about the SBHS can be found at www.strictbaptisthistory.org.uk/events.htm.
